Christie holds a Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the University of Victoria. She has been an active teacher and performer in BC, Quebec, Ontario, and throughout the United States for over 15 years.
Christie's principal teachers include Carolyn Hatch, founding teacher of Fiddler's Hatchery; William van der Sloot, Mount Royal College; Sharon Stanis, LaFayette String Quartet.
